  • Glenn Chase, DVM

Dr. Chase is proud to call Academy Animal Care his home!  With over thirteen years of experience as a veterinarian, Dr. Chase brings his expertise in small animal medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, and emergency/critical care to the great city of Suffolk.

Dr. Chase graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in biology in 1996.  He loved Blacksburg so much that he went on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in May, 2000.  Along with his wife, Marsha, he called Newport News his home after graduation, and spent his first five years as a veterinarian at Boulevard Animal Hospital.  It was there that he honed his medicine and surgery skills, and developed a special interest in orthopedics.   After spending two years as a medical director in Colonial Heights, Virginia, Dr. Chase returned to Hampton Roads where he spent three years on staff at the Greenbrier Veterinary Emergency Center.  Dr. Chase has always hoped to have his own small town practice, and the opportunity to own Academy Animal Care is most certainly a dream come true!

Dr. Chase, his wife Marsha (also a veterinarian!), and their daughters Hannah & Sarah love living in Suffolk.  When not hard at work, Dr. Chase loves running, boating, and spending time his family.
